Hi and welcome! I am so happy you are here. My name is Jessica Griggs, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the great state of Tennessee. I was born and raised in Tennessee, so I am excited to offer therapy services to high functioning women needing a safe space to heal. I am married, and have a handsome, sweet son whom I adore. We have one elderly pup that runs the house along with our kiddo. In my spare time, I enjoy watching tons of movies, reading intense thrillers, and taking walks with my family (if its not too hot lol).

Specialties

  • EMDR: a therapy approach that helps you process and heal from past experiences that may feel stuck and overwhelming. EMDR works with your brain and body to reprocess memories in a way that feels safer and more manageable with the use of bilateral stimulation.

  • Mindfulness: a gentle way we slow down and reconnect with what’s happening in the present moment. Instead of trying to push away thoughts and emotions, we focus on noticing them with curiosity and without judgement.

  • Inner child and generational healing: helping you to unpack inherited beliefs, self-abandonment, and unmet needs, while reconnecting back to authentic self.

You might look like you have it all together on the outside, but on the inside, you may feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or like you’re constantly carrying more than you should.

Maybe you are the one everyone relies on. Maybe you have learned to push through, stay strong, and keep going even when it feels like you’re hurting. Maybe you strive for perfection in all you do, yet you still feel like nothing is working out as planned.

If this sounds like you, then you are not alone. You no longer have to do it all by yourself. I work with a variety of women just like you: women navigating burnout, anxiety, depression and the pressure to be everything to everyone all the time. I also work with women struggling with OCD, ADHD, grief/loss, and perinatal mental health.

Together, we create a space where you can finally exhale. Where you don’t have to perform, fix anything, or say the “right thing”. You can come just as you are.

Those who have worked with me in the past say my approach to therapy is warm, relational, and down to earth. I blend a variety of eclectic, evidence-based practices to find the best fit for you. I believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all, but a tailored process based on your particular needs. We will work out a plan that honors your story, your nervous system, and the parts of you that you’ve been carrying for so long.

Therapy is not about fixing you. It’s about helping you connect back to who you are. Working to understand yourself better and begin to live in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.

While I am the therapist, you are the leader of your own life.

And I would be honored to walk this journey towards healing right beside you every step of the way.
